TP-Link’s first Wi-Fi 8 router promises speed and fewer dropped connections

With these products, TP-Link combines the Wi-Fi 8 standard with its own StabilityEngine, which uses several technologies to improve range, reduce interference, and manage multiple devices simultaneously.

The Archer 8 Ultra is a tri-band router with combined wireless speeds of up to 19 Gbps and wired connections of up to 10 Gbps. It has 18 built-in antennas and a sleek design that TP-Link hopes will encourage users to leave on display, thereby improving signal quality further. Pre-orders for the Archer 8 Ultra router open on September 30th.

Meanwhile, the Deco 8 Ultra is a tri-band mesh system with combined wireless speeds of up to 22 Gbps and Ethernet speeds of up to 10 Gbps. The Deco 8 Ultra is expected to be released in the first quarter of 2027.

Pricing hasn’t been announced for either product yet.
