That means the expansion of the city will be vertical rather than horizontal. If everything goes according to plan, the city will be ready by 2025. This will disrupt our traditional city structures and ideas. Considering the population growth, such cities can become more important and pioneers in the future. Experts in this field are claiming that instead of going to the moon and Mars to set up colonies, if such standing cities are developed on this planet, it will definitely benefit the population and the next generation in the future.

The name of the city will be The Line

The name of this city has also been decided. The city will be known as The Line. It will be the world’s first vertical city. In this city, offices, houses, schools, parks will all be vertical. The project was first hinted at by Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman of Saudi Arabia in January 2021. 500 billion dollars i.e. 39.95 lakh crore rupees will be spent to build this city.

The city will be covered with glass

The city of The Line will be covered by half a kilometer high walls of glass. The city will run on 100 percent renewable energy. Solar energy, wind energy will be used. There will be no pollution in this city. So there will be no carbon emission. This city will accommodate 9 million people within a distance of 170 km.
