AMD GPU and motherboard prices could jump 10% soon, Ryzen may follow
AMD has apparently already informed its partners of the planned price increases. The reason? Increased manufacturing costs at TSMC, which produces a large proportion of AMD’s chips.
However, the reports don’t mention AMD’s Ryzen processors, and there’s currently no confirmed data to suggest that these will also become more expensive. Still, since Ryzen processors are also manufactured by TSMC, there’s a risk that higher production costs will affect them as well.
