Breached: Valve warns Steam hardware buyers to watch for scams

The more a scammer knows about you, the more convincing the scam can become. They don’t need your most sensitive information to pull it off, either. A recent breach involving Steam hardware customers is a good example of this.

First reported by Engadget, Valve recently warned European customers who purchased Steam hardware that some personal information might have been compromised. The breach happened occurred at Valve’s logistics partner, CEVA Logistics.
