BT Mail ‘down’ as mysterious outage stops people from sending emails
BT Mail has been hit by an outage affecting users across the UK as they log on for their morning emails.
There was a surge in people reporting issues just before 9am.

Customers have flocked to Twitter to try to understand what’s going on.
Users are apparently being greeted with an error message whenever they try to sign in.
“Something went wrong, please try again,” the message reads.
“email not working “something went wrong” repeatedly,” one person tweeted.
“when I try to log into my email using the browser, it has an error,” another added.
It’s not clear how widespread the issue is but it was enough to trigger an alert from the Down Detector site, which looks out for surges in people complaining about issues for a variety of online services.
