1) Do AirPods work with Android devices?
The simple answer is: Yes. However, there’s a catch.
While AirPods work seamlessly with the iPhone’s iOS operating system, you miss out on key features if you use them on Android.

As AirPods are wireless headphones, every iteration connects to a device using Bluetooth.
That means the AirPods, AirPods Pro and AirPods Max can connect to any phone, tablet or computer – including those running Android.
Using them on Android means you miss out on some key features, though.
That’s because Apple reserves the fanciest highlights – such as customisable controls and quick pairing – for its own devices.
Fear not, though, as Android users still get access to noise-cancelling and transparency modes on AirPods models that support them.
2) How to connect AirPods to an Android device
To connect your AirPods to a device running Android, you’ll first need to ensure that Bluetooth is on.On an Android device, you can do that by going to Settings > Connections > Bluetooth.
Next, do one of the following:
AirPods (1st, 2nd, or 3rd generation) or AirPods Pro
With your AirPods in the charging case, open the lid, then press and hold the setup button on the back of the AirPods case for about five seconds, or until the status light flashes white.
When your AirPods appear in the list of Bluetooth devices, select them to connect.
AirPods Max
Press and hold the noise control button for about five seconds, or until the status light flashes white.
When your AirPods appear in the list of Bluetooth devices, select them to connect.
