Hurry! This Ryzen OLED laptop with 16GB of RAM is only $650
Finding deals for laptops that I’d actually buy for myself is getting hard in 2026, bordering on impossible. But today Best Buy is offering a unicorn, a diamond in the rough, a laptop with decent specs at a decent price. Specifically, this HP 14-incher with an OLED touchscreen, a recent Ryzen CPU, and 16GB of RAM for $649.99. That’s allegedly $750 off the retail price.
You also get some goodies from Microsoft — a free custom Xbox controller and a year of Office and Game Pass. Not bad at all.
The HP Omnibook X Flip 2-in-1 14 kind of sounds like a Marvel comic from the 80s, but it is, in fact, a laptop. The screen is particularly impressive to me, a 14-inch, 16:10 number with an OLED panel. It’s also a touchscreen that folds back on itself — handy for a desk setup with an external keyboard and monitor. 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage isn’t incredible, but it’s the baseline of what I’d consider for a Windows 11 laptop.
But the processor is pretty great for a budget machine, too. The AMD Ryzen AI 5 430 is a mouthful, but what you need to know is that it’s a quad-core design with Zen 5 architecture. That means great performance and solid graphics even without a discrete card — this thing should be able to handle games at about the same level as the Steam Deck, maybe a bit more. Not bad, considering the entire laptop is cheaper than Valve’s handheld right now.
Other highlights include double USB-C and USB-A, full-sized HDMI, and an IR camera for Windows Hello face scanning. a 59 watt-hour battery won’t win any marathons, but it should get through a day of browsing and videos with no trouble. The only thing in the HP Omnibook X Flip 2-in-1 14 (deep breath) that might turn you off is the “deep espresso” brown colorway, but I kinda like it. You can read PCWorld’s review of this model, but please be aware that the review unit has a faster CPU, more RAM, more storage, and a screen upgrade.
Best Buy is offering this model at $649.99 on sale, which is exactly $650 off its “comp value,” $750 off the official retail price on HP’s online store (where it’s on sale for $1000). The actual price of laptops during the RAM crunch is constantly fluid, but trust me when I say that $649.99 for any laptop with 16GB of RAM is a good deal right now, and the OLED screen and decent processor are nice bonuses. We don’t know how long this deal will stick around.
