Mind-blowing iPhone screenshot trick revealed – how have we missed it for YEARS?

YOU think you know every iPhone trick in the book, and then a new one comes along just like that.

If you’ve ever taken a screengrab on your Apple mobile, you’ve likely used the Photo editing tool to mark up key bits.

That might mean drawing a circle or an arrow to steer people’s attention to a specific part of a photo or document.

That’s all well and good, but often the shape you map out with your fingers is a little wobbly.

Our shaky digits are rarely able to staw a perfect circle or arrow – unless you use this handy trick.

As TikTok user RamalMedia highlighted in a clip uploaded Thursday, there is a way to ensure your shapes are perfect every time.

After drawing your shape on the display, simply hold down your finger a little longer.

Apple’s clever software will then take over and tidy it up for you, smoothing out the lines so they look a lot neater.

It may only be a minor change, but it’s nice to know you can improve the look of your markups in seconds.

Viewers reacted in shock to RamalMedia’s video, which has racked up hundreds of thousands of views on TikTok.

One wrote: “This is so cool I never knew this.

Another said: “It does all shapes too.. including hearts n stars… I didn’t know this”.

How to draw and write on screenshots

For those of you who don’t know how to markup a screenshot, follow these steps.

On iPhones with Face ID: Take a screenshot by pressing the power and volume up buttons at the same time.

On iPhones with a Home Button: Simultaneously press and then release the Home button and the side button.

A preview of the screenshot you just took will pop up in the bottom left-hand corner of your display. Tap it.

From here, you can use Markup on your screenshot.
