Microsoft is fine-tuning Windows 11. Here’s what’s coming in November

Windows privacy settings are also being revamped. Permissions for the camera, microphone, and location data are being organized in a clearer way and presented with information on how they’re used. If you haven’t already, tweak all the ways Windows 11 collects your personal data.

Microsoft is also improving power management on laptops. The Adaptive Hibernate feature adjusts when the computer enters hibernation based on the battery level, which should help extend battery life without making the computer unnecessarily slow to wake up. In the meantime, if you struggle with Windows power consumption on a laptop, use this one-click method that could double battery life easily.

Some other accessibility changes are also coming in the update, such as the Windows Magnifier getting more customization options, including separate zoom levels for different screens.

These new features will be rolled out in stages. If you want to try them out in advance, you can do so by installing the optional October preview update KB5127936 for Windows 11 25H2 and 26H2. That preview update also includes other changes, like a revamped customizable right-click menu. Otherwise, you’ll get them in November’s monthly update.
