Internet Explorer 11
The company had announced in December 2022 that it would permanently shut down the Internet Explorer 11 app on February 14. Actually, the company is going to roll out a new update, which will stop Internet Explorer on Windows 10 and its older versions.
According to the firm, all devices that have not been “redirected” to Internet Explorer 11 in Microsoft Edge will be affected by the update. Instead, the company is introducing Microsoft Edge in a new avatar.
Microsoft Edge will be updated
We are working to install IE Mode in Microsoft Edge and will retire IE11 before this date so your organization does not face business issues, the company says. That is, starting February 14, these users will be able to use Microsoft Edge IE mode instead of the Internet Explorer 11 (IE11) desktop application. It will then be redirected to Microsoft Edge.
According to the company, Internet Explorer 11 will be disabled on Windows 10 computers by the new update of Microsoft Edge. It was previously announced that the company would release Windows updates, but now Microsoft says that the decision to discontinue the software through Edge updates was made to help organizations smoothly migrate remaining Internet Explorer 11 users to Microsoft Edge.
