Presently the mobile chargers of different companies are also different. Due to this, the central government is preparing to have a charger of the same design for all types of mobile phones. For this, the government has written a letter to the industries and called a meeting on August 17. The agenda of the meeting is whether electronic gadgets can be divided into two categories and have a common common charger for them. Which are big sized gadgets. Laptops and Tabs etc. The plan is to set a category for them and make available chargers of uniform design.

Along with mobile phones, there should be some kind of charging system for small or medium-sized gadgets like earbuds, headphones, smartwatches, health gadgets and speakers. It should have a Type-C charger. Along with this, the government has called an important meeting on August 17 to discuss that there should be a separate charger for premium devices.

A common Type-C charger for all types of gadgets is likely to be discussed in the meeting. The government believes that if this type of charger comes into use, it will help in curbing large amount of e-waste. This eliminates the need to buy a new charger every time the charger breaks. The hassle of carrying different types of chargers will also be saved.
