Sky TV owners receive free upgrade making your box more like Netflix than ever before

SKY TV users will finally be able to setup their own profile for all their favourite telly much like Netflix.

The broadcasting powerhouse is introducing a huge update to Sky Glass and Sky Stream this week with a bunch of free new feature.

Personalised playlists allow each family member to compile their very own collection of stuff to watch.

You can add anything to your personal page from the TV guide, on demand and even apps by pressing the plus button on your remote.

Up to five unique playlists can be created.

Sky is also making it much easier for you to resume where you left off a TV show or movie.

Now if you say “Play” followed by the title name to your remote, it’ll start exactly from the point you stopped, so no need to faff around scrolling.

Elsewhere, you’ll notice new cast and crew rails on show pages.

This allows you to find other stuff by your favourite TV and movie stars that’s available via your Sky box.

And in a boost for hard of hearing people, there’s also a great update to Bluetooth on Sky Glass.

You can now listen via a pair of Bluetooth headphones at the same time as the TV’s speakers.

This way customers with hearing issues can watch comfortably with the rest of the family.

Sky says the new update should be available to all customers by 4 February.

The broadcaster has recently added a load of extras, including the ability to listen to your Amazon Music.

Subscribers can also get access to Discovery+ for free too.
