Sony’s new 65-inch Bravia 6 OLED TV is already $802 off, a record low

The new Sony Bravia 6 OLED TV delivers exceptionally deep blacks and high contrast at a 4K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. Amazon is currently selling this 65-inch Sony TV (model K-65A60) for $1,198—a huge drop from its original $2,000 MSRP and a 40% savings. The K-65A160 was only launched in September, so this big discount comes surprisingly fast.

What the Sony Bravia 6 offers
The Sony Bravia 6 features a 65-inch OLED display with 4K resolution. The OLED technology individually controls more than eight million pixels, allowing the TV to render black areas of the picture with exceptional depth and produce strong contrasts. The TRILUMINOS Pro tech also displays more than a billion natural colors and subtle color gradations.
With a refresh rate of 120Hz, the television is well-suited to fast-moving action and video games. Four HDMI 2.1 inputs support 4K at up to 120 frames per second, variable refresh rate (VRR), and Automatic Low Latency Mode (ALLM). This allows compatible gaming consoles to benefit from smooth visuals and fast response times.
The Bravia 6 supports Dolby Atmos and DTS:X, which enable spatial sound effects. If you want to further enhance the sound, you can add a compatible Bravia Theatre soundbar, a subwoofer, and rear speakers to the TV. Sony also refers to this as 360 Spatial Sound Mapping.
The set runs on Google TV. The platform brings together films and series from various streaming subscriptions on a single interface. You can use the available apps and control the TV via voice commands. Chromecast also allows you to cast compatible content from other devices to the TV.
Why this deal is worth it
At $1,198, the Sony Bravia 6 has reached a new all-time low price. You’ll save $802 compared to the MSRP—for a 65-inch OLED TV that was only launched in September, that’s a significant price drop.
User reviews so far have been overwhelmingly positive. Several users praise the high-contrast OLED picture, the deep blacks and the rich, natural colors. Users also appreciate the built-in Google TV, the straightforward setup, and its gaming-compatible 4K/120Hz display. Overall, the feedback is particularly positive regarding picture quality and the smart TV functions, while the user interface and sound don’t impress all users equally.
One important caveat, though: many of the positive reviews come from Amazon’s free Vine program. With Vine, users receive products for free in exchange for their reviews. This doesn’t automatically mean their reviews are unreliable, but it can introduce bias and should therefore be taken into account when assessing user opinions.
