About four hundred mid-level employees may also be cut. It is said that the Tata Group will start manufacturing the iPhone 15 after this deal. Wistron’s Indian plant is currently manufacturing iPhone 12 and iPhone 14.
After Tata took over the Bengaluru plant, Wistron would be out of the Indian market completely as it was the only plant manufacturing Apple products in India. India’s market for Apple products is approximately $600 million. The deal is seen as a significant development, especially at a time when Apple is looking to India for manufacturing from China.
