Electric Vehicle from Government of India (Electric vehicle) of battery swapping policy to bring parity in charging (swapping policy) is being tested. A nationwide policy for electric two-wheelers and three-wheelers will be finalized soon. Battery swapping policy is considered as an important pillar in the field of Indian electric vehicles. At present, there are electric vehicle charging stations in a few selected places in the country. But after the new policy, battery swapping stations will be set up at various places. What is the benefit to vehicle owners after this policy is implemented (benefit) will be? We will get more information about this from this article.

Battery Swapping Policy ?

Government of India is going to introduce battery swapping policy for three things related to electric vehicle charging. By adopting the battery swapping technique, charging will save time, occupy less space and be less expensive. Every swappable battery must be used. Battery swapping is also good for business. This policy also recognizes batteries as a service model.

Security will be taken care of

According to the draft battery swapping policy, the batteries will be safer than the current ones. The draft policy states that traction battery packs will be tested for safety and certified in accordance with AIS 156 (2020) and AIS 038 Rev 2 (2020) standards. The policy states that the replaceable battery will be equipped with modern features like IoT-based battery monitoring system, remote monitoring and stable capacity.

How about the battery?

As per the upcoming battery swapping policy, it has been mandated that the weight of a 1 kWh battery should not exceed 10 kg. This will make it much easier for people to handle the battery. Apart from this, the battery cell should have a cylindrical shape, which will relieve the tension of the people who use and deliver electric vehicles the most. The draft policy on battery swapping has been welcomed by all sections of the electric vehicle industry. But still some battery makers and electric scooter manufacturers are against standardization through battery swapping. They fear that the swapping policy will slow down.
