WhatsApp leak reveals five hidden features ‘coming to your phone’ – including new type of text
DETAILS of future WhatsApp updates have been revealed online.
The hidden changes include the ability to create a new type of text: polls.

WhatsApp is always building new features, and these are generally first tested in the beta version of the app.

Now the WhatsApp super-fans at WABetaInfo have dug into the beta to uncover brand new changes coming to the app.
There are eight key changes in total, all affecting different parts of the app.
Note that some of these features are already in testing in the beta, while others are simply “under development”.
But eventually they’ll all likely make it to the final version of WhatsApp.
Sadly it’s impossible to say exactly when that will be, and it could take days, weeks or months for some of them to appear in your app.

Here are some of the new features…
- 1. The ability to speed up voice note playback on Windows
- 2. New Windows features including zoom in and out on images
- 3. The ability to create a new type of text in group chats: polls
- 4. Call links to quickly join voice and video calls
- 5. Creating an avatar that you can use inside the app
- 6. Forwarding images, videos, GIFs and documents with a caption
- 7. Visibility of up to four emoji reactions per chat bubble
- 8. Automatic muting for when you join very large chat groups

How to get WhatsApp beta
To download WhatsApp beta for your smartphone you need to go to Google Play on your Android and search for WhatsApp.
Scroll down the page until you see “Become a Beta Tester”.
Tap the “I’m In” button and then click “Join” to confirm.
Now all you have to do is wait for the update to the beta version of the app.
Joining the WhatsApp beta on iOS is more difficult, and has limited capacity.
