Huge alert for WhatsApp users – billions getting major app change
WHATSAPP is working on a sizeable update that changes the drawing tool.
You might never have used it – but it’s a seriously handy part of WhatsApp.

It appears when you go to send a photo on WhatsApp and you choose the edit option.

The current version allows you to draw lines on the image, and even pixellate parts of it.
But the sleuths at WABetaInfo have been investigating the WhatsApp beta app, and have found some changes that are being tested.
The changes are “under development”, so no one can use them just yet.
But they’ll soon arrive on the beta.
The first new feature is the ability to quickly switch between fonts by tapping on the options above the keyboard.
This makes it much easier to change fonts.
The second feature lets you change the alignment of text.
So in the future, you’ll be able to align text to the left, centre or right.
Lastly, you’ll be able to change the text background.
This means you can choose a different background colour so you can make sure that text can be clearly read.
It’s not exactly clear when this new feature will roll out to everyone.

How to get WhatsApp beta
To download WhatsApp beta for your smartphone you need to go to Google Play on your Android and search for WhatsApp.
Scroll down the page until you see “Become a Beta Tester”.
Tap the “I’m In” button and then click “Join” to confirm.
Now all you have to do is wait for the update to the beta version of the app.
Joining the WhatsApp beta on iOS is more difficult, and has limited capacity.
